Penix Jr. shows elite speed with a sub-4.6 time at UW pro day
Michael Penix Jr. impressed NFL scouts at a pro day with the University of Washington, where he showcased his arm talent and speed. Penix posted a sub-4.6-second time in the 40-yard dash and impressed with a 36.5-inch vertical jump and a 10-foot-5-inch broad jump. He is projected to be selected in the first two rounds of the draft. Penix has visits scheduled with several teams, including the New York Giants, Atlanta Falcons, Las Vegas Raiders, Denver Broncos, and Pittsburgh Steelers. Wide receiver Rome Odunze did not participate in the pro day but has visits lined up with the Arizona Cardinals, New York Jets, and Chicago Bears.
