Lions terminate Sutton’s contract during police investigation for CB

On Thursday, the Lions released cornerback Cameron Sutton, who is wanted by police in Florida for alleged domestic violence. Sutton is facing a felony charge of domestic battery by strangulation and has been evading authorities since March 7. Police responded to a call where Sutton allegedly battered a woman before fleeing. Sutton, 29, started all 17 games for the Lions last season, recording 60 tackles, 6 passes defended, and 1 interception.
