Commanders re-sign Efe Obada

Commanders extend contract with Efe Obada

Defensive end Efe Obada will be returning to Washington for the upcoming season, as the Commanders have re-signed him. The terms of the deal have not been disclosed. Obada has been with the team for the past two seasons but was sidelined in 2023 due to injuries. He started the season on injured reserve with a knee issue, played five games, and then suffered multiple leg fractures in Week 11. In 2022, Obada had 24 tackles and four sacks. Throughout his career with the Bills and Panthers, he accumulated 62 tackles, 11 sacks, an interception, a forced fumble, and two fumble recoveries.
