John Schneider, General Manager of the Seahawks, is awarded a new title
The Seattle Seahawks’ long-time head coach Pete Carroll has departed, leaving general manager John Schneider to take over personnel decisions and assume the title of president of football operations. Schneider will now have the authority over the coaching staff, with Mike Macdonald as the new head coach. The Seahawks have added Fred Walker as quarterbacks coach, Frisman Jackson as wide receivers coach, and Kennedy Polamalu as running backs coach. Walker brings experience from the Raiders, Jackson has been successful as a wide receiver coach in the NFL, and Polamalu has a history of building strong running back tandems in the league.
