Pittsburgh Steelers officially bid to host 2026 or 2027 draft
The Pittsburgh Steelers have submitted a bid to host the 2026 or 2027 NFL draft, with the deadline to do so having passed. Team president Art Rooney II expressed optimism about bringing the event to Pittsburgh. The city has hosted the draft before in 1948 at the Fort Pitt hotel, where the Steelers selected quarterback Bobby Layne. Even though Layne initially didn’t want to play for the Steelers, he eventually played for them and was traded back to the team in 1958. Detroit will host the 2024 draft, and Green Bay will host it next year.
