Report: Dolphins Set to Hire Ravens Assistant Head Coach Anthony Weaver as Defensive Coordinator
Anthony Weaver is expected to become the Miami Dolphins’ next defensive coordinator, coming from the Baltimore Ravens where he was the assistant head coach and defensive line coach. The move comes after Vic Fangio and the Dolphins mutually parted ways in January. Weaver, who played in the NFL for seven seasons, has coaching experience with multiple teams, including a prior stint as defensive coordinator with the Houston Texans. The Dolphins hope he can lead a strong defense, which showed potential in 2023 but was hampered by injuries. Weaver’s success with the Ravens’ defense is a positive sign for the Dolphins.
