Stroud declared fit to start against Titans after completing protocol
DJ Bien-Aime, an ESPN reporter covering the Houston Texans, announced that rookie quarterback C.J. Stroud has cleared concussion protocol and will start in Week 17 against the Tennessee Titans. Stroud has been out since suffering a concussion in Week 14 and his absence resulted in a 1-1 record for the Texans. Before his injury, Stroud led the league in passing yards and had 20 TD passes. Stroud’s return comes at a crucial point in the season as the Texans are in a three-way tie for the AFC South lead and are aiming for a playoff spot. Stroud expressed his appreciation for his teammates’ support and is focused on building towards a playoff berth.
