QB Rodgers’ efforts to return have impressed the Jets
Rich Cimini is an ESPN staff writer who covers the New York Jets and the NFL. Aaron Rodgers, the Jets quarterback, is recovering from Achilles surgery and has impressed coaches and teammates with his progress. The team has until Wednesday to decide whether to activate him or leave him on injured reserve for the rest of the season. Rodgers has practiced twice a week and is aiming for a potential return on Dec. 24. The Jets have a low chance of making the playoffs, and Rodgers has said it wouldn’t make sense to return if the team is mathematically eliminated. Despite this, he continues to make progress in his recovery.
