NFL makes history with first regular season game to be played in South America
The NFL will play its first regular season game in Brazil in 2024, expanding the league’s international presence. The game will be held at Arena Corinthians in São Paulo as part of the league’s plan to grow globally. Three regular season games are also planned for London, two in Germany, and one in Brazil. Miami Dolphins holds home marketing rights in Brazil. Officials have scouted possible locations for future regular season games in Rio de Janeiro, São Paulo, and Madrid. The NFL has discussed hosting a Super Bowl internationally and is considering venues in Spain for future games. Commissioner Roger Goodell views international expansion as critical for the league’s growth.
