Mecole Hardman: Limited role on offense “very surprising,” but I’m here to do my role

Mecole Hardman: Unexpectedly Restricted on Offense, But Committed to Fulfilling My Role

Wide receiver Mecole Hardman, the biggest offseason addition to the New York Jets offense, has been disappointed by his lack of playing time. Hardman has only played 14 snaps in two games and caught just one pass for six yards. Despite working hard in practice and feeling confident in the playbook, Hardman has been limited due to a lack of offensive plays. The Jets’ offense has struggled to stay on the field, ranking 31st in the league with only 99 plays in two games. In order for the Jets to improve, they will need to find a way to generate more offensive opportunities.
