Massive Donation from Eagles Shows Strong Support for Women in Sports
The Philadelphia Eagles, an NFL team, have donated 30,000 sports bras to female student athletes in the Delaware Valley as part of their FLY:FWD initiative to support girls in youth sports. The donation was announced by Eagles quarterback Jalen Hurts, Olympic gold medalist Carli Lloyd, and Laila Ali, former president of the Women’s Sports Foundation. This is not the team’s first donation, as they previously donated $100,000 worth of sports bras to female athletes in the Philadelphia school district and partnered with a nonprofit to manufacture more bras. The announcement was made on Women’s Equality Day.
