Pittsburgh Steelers’ Alexander Penalized for Hit against Tampa Bay Buccaneers: Sources
Pittsburgh Steelers inside linebacker Kwon Alexander has been fined $43,709 for an illegal hit in the team’s preseason opener against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Alexander was penalized for lowering his head and making contact with his helmet against Bucs running back Chase Edmonds. This is the second time Alexander has been fined for this offense. The NFL has implemented new helmet safety rules for the 2023 season, penalizing players for using any part of their helmet or face mask to make contact with an opponent’s head or neck area.
