John Wolford of the Buccaneers hospitalized following neck injury vs. Jets
During a preseason game between the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and the New York Jets, Buccaneers quarterback John Wolford was injured after being sacked. He was placed on a stretcher and taken off the field. Wolford had movement in his arms and legs, but was taken to a local hospital for evaluation of a neck injury. Wolford joined the Buccaneers this offseason after playing for the Los Angeles Rams. He had a notable performance in the Rams’ 2020 regular-season finale and started their playoff game but was injured early on. In his career, Wolford has thrown for 626 yards, one touchdown, and five interceptions.
