“Could Shane Steichen Make a Bold Move for Daniel Jones Amid Hot Seat Speculation?”
The Indianapolis Colts, struggling with a 2-3 record in the 2026 NFL season, recently lost 34-22 to the Pittsburgh Steelers. There are speculations that owner Carlie Irsay-Gordon may dismiss head coach Shane Steichen and general manager Chris Ballard if the team fails to reach the playoffs. While quarterback Daniel Jones has been underwhelming, ranking 26th in adjusted QBR, ESPN analysts say the Colts are unlikely to bench him for backups like Anthony Richardson Sr. or Riley Leonard, at least for now. Jones will start against the winless Tennessee Titans, with the Colts favored to win by seven points.
