Josh Jacobs agrees to one-year, $12M deal with Raiders to end holdout

Raiders and Josh Jacobs reach agreement on one-year, $12M contract, ending holdout

Las Vegas Raiders’ running back Josh Jacobs has ended his contract holdout by signing a one-year deal reportedly worth up to $12 million for 2023. Jacobs had held out through training camp after failing to reach a long-term agreement with the team before the franchise tag deadline in July. He chose to sign a reworked one-year deal, similar to the approach taken by New York Giants’ Saquon Barkley. The Raiders had no plans to trade Jacobs and are reportedly optimistic about keeping him in Las Vegas. Jacobs had a successful first season with the team, leading the league in rushing and receiving several accolades.
