Broncos Players Respond to Sean Payton Taking Over Play-Calling from OC Davis Webb
Denver Broncos head coach Sean Payton announced he will resume offensive play-calling duties, taking them from coordinator Davis Webb, ahead of their game against the 0-4 Los Angeles Chargers. Players acknowledged the need for improved execution, as the Broncos’ offense ranks 28th in yards and 27th in points scored. Quarterback Bo Nix’s struggles contributed to Payton’s decision, as he has a 46.1 adjusted QBR and 80.4 passer rating. Tight end Dallen Bentley noted the offense remains the same. With the Broncos favored by 3.5 points, concerns about Webb’s future with the team loom.
