Jets Face Lions Without WR Adonai Mitchell (Finger Injury)
Rich Cimini reports that the New York Jets’ already depleted receiving corps suffered another setback with Adonai Mitchell declared inactive due to a finger injury. As a result, Garrett Wilson and Isaiah Williams will be the team’s main wide receivers against the Detroit Lions. The Jets have signed three new backup receivers, including veteran Sterling Shepard, undrafted rookie Malik McClain, and first-year player Jamaal Pritchett, all set to make their NFL debuts. Mitchell, the team’s top vertical threat with nine receptions for 123 yards, was injured during practice. The Jets also have three receivers on injured reserve and are missing tight end Mason Taylor.
