Texans Co-Founder and Senior Chair Janice McNair Passes Away at 89

Janice S. McNair, co-founder and senior chair of the Houston Texans, died at 89. Her son, Cal McNair, praised her kindness, faith, and commitment to the Texans, which she co-founded with her late husband, Bob McNair, after the NFL returned to Houston in 2002. She became the principal owner following Bob’s death in 2018 and was inducted into the Texans’ ring of honor in 2025. NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell lauded her impact on the community and the NFL.
