Sources: Giants WR Darius Slayton Undergoes Core Muscle Surgery
New York Giants wide receiver Darius Slayton recently underwent surgery for a core-muscle injury and will miss the offseason program, but is expected to return for training camp. Last season, he caught 37 passes for 538 yards and a touchdown. The Giants’ top receiver, Malik Nabers, is also recovering from a torn ACL and likely won’t participate in the offseason. To strengthen their receiving corps, the Giants drafted Malachi Fields and signed veterans Darnell Mooney, Calvin Austin III, and Isaiah Hodgins. They also hosted former player Odell Beckham Jr. for a workout, while Wan’Dale Robinson left for the Titans.
