Christian Barmore charged with domestic assault, Patriots issue statement
New England Patriots defensive lineman Christian Barmore is facing a misdemeanor assault and battery charge related to an incident from August, while wide receiver Stefon Diggs is facing charges for felony strangulation or suffocation and misdemeanor assault and battery. The Patriots are aware of the situation and are cooperating with the league. The police report indicates that Barmore became angry with the mother of his child over the air conditioner temperature and accused her of stealing food. Despite the woman initially not pressing charges, a criminal complaint was issued later. Barmore has been with the Patriots for five seasons and has 26 tackles and one sack this season.
