Sources: Penix expected to miss rest of season

Sources: Penix likely to be out for the remainder of the season

Marc Raimondi, a sports reporter for ESPN, covered the Atlanta Falcons in 2024, but joined the company in 2019 as a combat sports reporter. He also wrote a book on pro wrestling. Falcons quarterback Michael Penix Jr. suffered a knee injury and is not expected to play for the remainder of the season. Penix had previously dealt with knee injuries in college. Kirk Cousins replaced Penix as the starting quarterback for the Falcons. Penix’s injury has resulted in him being placed on injured reserve. Penix had shown promise this season, but his injury has required further testing to determine its severity.
