Ravens sign defensive tackle from international pool, hold workout for experienced edge rusher
The Baltimore Ravens signed defensive tackle David Olajiga to their practice squad after a workout. Olajiga, born in London, came to the NFL via the International Player Pathway program, giving him eligibility for an extra practice squad spot. The team also promoted Nigerian-born C.J. Okoye to the 53-man roster. They also hosted veteran edge rusher Efe Obada and rookie Tommy Akingbesote for workouts. Obada, a seven-year veteran, had injuries affect his last two seasons but showed promise in 2023. Akingbesote, drafted by the Cowboys in 2024, struggled in the preseason. He is described as a solid but unspectacular player suited for depth as a run-stopper.
