Browns finalize deal with CB Dom Jones, adding him to active roster
The Browns traded Joe Flacco to the Bengals to open up a spot on their roster, which they filled by signing cornerback Dom Jones off the practice squad. Jones had already appeared in three games for the Browns this season on temporary elevations. The Browns did not sign Bailey Zappe off the practice squad, so Dillon Gabriel and Shedeur Sanders are the only quarterbacks on the active roster. Zappe could still be elevated for Sunday’s game. The Browns also signed cornerback Dee Williams to the practice squad and placed cornerback Ameer Speed on practice squad injured reserve.
