Were Cowboys in negotiation with Eagles before trading Micah Parsons to Packers?
The Philadelphia Eagles were willing to offer the Dallas Cowboys two first-round draft picks, a third-round choice, and a fifth-round selection, along with other assets, in exchange for star pass-rusher Micah Parsons. However, Dallas instead traded Parsons to the Green Bay Packers for two first-round picks and defensive tackle Kenny Clark. Cowboys owner Jerry Jones confirmed that there was no counteroffer from the Eagles and that other teams started showing interest as the trade deadline neared. Parsons went public with a trade request in August and was eventually traded to Green Bay, where he signed a record-breaking contract. Jones also commented on Parsons’ back injury during his time with the Cowboys.
