NFL suspends free agent DT Isaiah Buggs for first 10 weeks

NFL bans free agent Isaiah Buggs for the first 10 weeks

Isaiah Buggs, a free agent NFL defensive tackle, has been suspended for the first 10 weeks of the upcoming season due to off-field incidents. Buggs had charges of animal cruelty, domestic violence, and burglary reduced or dismissed earlier in the year as part of a plea agreement. He has not played in a regular-season NFL game since 2023 and was released by the Chiefs in 2024 after multiple offseason arrests. Buggs did play for the San Antonio Brahmas in the UFL this spring, recording four tackles and two sacks. Overall, he has 89 tackles, two sacks, and 12 quarterback hits in his five NFL seasons.
