49ers successfully acquire Commanders’ unhappy star player through trade
Brian Robinson’s time in Washington has come to an end as he will be traded to the San Francisco 49ers in exchange for a 2026 sixth-round pick. Washington had been looking to move on from Robinson, who did not play in a recent preseason game. The Commanders are looking to focus on other running back options, including veteran Austin Ekeler and younger players. The 49ers, who also recently added Skyy Moore to their offense, have Christian McCaffrey as their top running back.
