Isaac to undergo surgery for injury; Jones ruled out for start of season
Isaac suffered ligament damage in his elbow and will undergo surgery, but it’s not a season-ending injury. Offensive lineman Emory Jones Jr. will also miss the start of the season due to a lingering issue. Running back Keaton Mitchell returned to practice, while cornerback Jalyn Armour-Davis was out with an illness. Cornerbacks Chidobe Awuzie and Jaire Alexander didn’t practice but are expected to be ready for Week 1. Wide receiver DeAndre Hopkins is managing a minor injury. Overall, there are various injuries affecting players on the team, but most are expected to be ready for the start of the season.
