NFL staff member critically wounded in New York City shooting
A National Football League employee was seriously injured in a shooting at the NFL’s offices in midtown Manhattan. Four people, including an off-duty New York City police officer, were killed, and another person was critically wounded. The gunman, identified as Shane Tamura, killed himself, leaving behind a note claiming he had CTE and requesting that his brain be studied. The motive for the shooting is still unknown, but police are investigating. The NFL is providing support to the injured employee and their family, and there will be increased security at the league’s offices. The incident resulted in minor injuries to four others.
