George Odum released by the 49ers
The San Francisco 49ers have released safety George Odum, who had been with the team since 2022. Odum, 31, played in 12 games last season, recording 16 tackles and four passes defensed. He was on the field for 19 percent of defensive snaps and 69 percent of special teams snaps. Odum had been placed on the non-football injury list earlier in the week. Throughout his career with Indianapolis and San Francisco, Odum has appeared in 105 games with 12 starts, accumulating 200 tackles, three interceptions, and nine passes defensed.
