T.J. Watt and the Steelers reportedly reach agreement on significant deal amid contract negotiations
The Pittsburgh Steelers have signed safety DeShon Elliott to a two-year contract extension, but there are ongoing negotiations with pass-rusher T.J. Watt. NFL insider Peter Schrager believes the Steelers will offer Watt a lucrative deal to entice him to report to training camp on time. Meanwhile, Dallas Cowboys star Micah Parsons is also seeking a big contract extension before the season starts. Watt, currently in the final year of his contract, will turn 31 years old in October. It is expected that Parsons could sign a deal worth more than Myles Garrett’s $160M extension. Both Watt and Parsons are top-market players seeking significant contract extensions.
