Randy Crowder, a former defensive lineman for the Dolphins and Buccaneers, passes away at the age of 72
Former NFL defensive lineman Randy Crowder has passed away at the age of 72. Crowder was a standout player at Penn State before being drafted by the Miami Dolphins in 1974. His NFL career was interrupted when he was convicted of selling cocaine with a teammate, but he returned to the league in 1978 and played three more seasons with the Buccaneers. After retirement, he became a coach at Penn State. Crowder is survived by family members, including his son Channing Crowder, who also played in the NFL. They are the only father-son duo both to be drafted by the Dolphins.
