Ex-fiancée of Worthy sued for extortion and abuse
Kansas City Chiefs wide receiver Xavier Worthy is suing his former fiancée, Tia Jones, in Williamson County, Texas, for allegedly stealing and destroying over $150,000 in cash and property and assaulting him. Worthy was arrested for assault earlier this month but no charges were filed. In the lawsuit, Worthy claims Jones extorted money and valuables from him through false domestic violence allegations and physical abuse. He provided evidence of damage to his game room and injuries from the assaults in the lawsuit. Worthy is seeking damages between $250,000 and $1 million. Jones was granted a protective order against Worthy by a Texas judge.
