102-year-old Bears owner Virginia Halas McCaskey dies
Virginia Halas McCaskey, the owner of the Chicago Bears, has passed away at the age of 102. She inherited the franchise from her father, George Halas, who founded the team in 1920 and was the Bears’ controlling owner until his death in 1983. McCaskey led the Bears to their only Super Bowl victory and remained the principal owner until her passing.
