Dallas Cowboys make a trade, acquiring defensive tackle Jordan Phillips from the New York Giants
The Dallas Cowboys, in response to their defensive coordinator’s comments about needing more nose tackles, acquired veteran defensive tackle Jordan Phillips from the New York Giants. Phillips, who was traded for a late-round draft pick, had signed with the Giants earlier in the year but had not yet played a game for them. At 6’6″ and 330 pounds, Phillips is known for being a versatile player with the ability to rush the passer and stop the run. The Cowboys hope that his addition will strengthen their defense, particularly in defending against the run. Phillips, a former second-round pick, adds experience and depth to the Cowboys’ defensive line rotation.
