Steelers welcome back former second-round pass rusher
The Steelers re-signed outside linebacker Markus Golden to a one-year deal after injuries to David Perales and Kyron Johnson. Golden previously played for the team in 2023, providing depth as the No. 3 edge rusher. Despite likely not having the same role this season due to Nick Herbig’s emergence, Golden is expected to contribute as a rotational pass rusher. He will need to earn his spot on the 53-man roster during training camp and preseason games. Golden was drafted in the second round in 2015 and has had a successful nine-year NFL career with 343 tackles, 51 sacks, and other impressive stats.
