Hartman and Schrader are picked in UFL draft
The UFL teams claimed the rights to several NFL rookies in the league’s college draft, including Notre Dame quarterback Sam Hartman, Missouri running back Cody Schrader, UCLA pass rusher Gabriel Murphy, and former Oklahoma receiver Drake Stoops. Hartman went undrafted in the NFL but signed with the Washington Commanders, while Schrader is on the San Francisco 49ers’ roster and Murphy signed with the Minnesota Vikings. The draft included the same eight teams that comprised the league during the 2024 season, following the UFL’s completion of its inaugural season after a merger between the XFL and USFL.
