Damien Harris publicly criticizes Belichick and Patricia for Patriots’ struggling offense
Former Patriots running back Damien Harris criticized head coach Bill Belichick and offensive coordinators Matt Patricia and Joe Judge for their handling of the team’s offense during the 2022 season. Harris spoke out about the negative aspects of playing for Belichick, including his power complex and the lack of qualified coaching on the offensive side of the ball. He felt that the playbook was subpar and not conducive to success. Despite his love for playing for Belichick, Harris ultimately retired and signed with the Buffalo Bills, where he felt more comfortable speaking up about issues. The Patriots have since moved on with new head coach Jerod Mayo.
