Eagles make significant moves in free agency with agreements for RB and DE signings
The Philadelphia Eagles and general manager Howie Roseman have been active in the NFL’s free-agency period, signing RB Saquon Barkley to a three-year, $37.75M deal and defensive end Bryce Huff to a three-year, $51.1M contract. The Barkley deal has sparked controversy, as fans of the Giants are not happy with the former star player joining their rival team. Barkley will replace D’Andre Swift, who signed with the Bears. Huff, a standout player with the New York Jets, will bolster the Eagles’ defensive line after the retirement of Fletcher Cox. Huff had a breakout season in 2023, contributing 10 sacks.
