Commanders drop experienced receiver from roster
The Washington Commanders are releasing veteran tight end Logan Thomas in 2024, freeing up nearly $14 million in cap space. Thomas, who had a career-best season in 2020 but struggled with injuries, was due to make $5.34 million in his contract year. The Commanders will now be looking to add a new starting tight end, possibly targeting players like Dalton Schultz, Hunter Henry, Noah Fant, Mike Gesicki, Zach Ertz, or Jonnu Smith.
