NFL executive says Eagles should not be penalized for successful ‘tush push’
The Philadelphia Eagles have been successful with the “tush push” play, allowing quarterback Jalen Hurts to gain yards by getting a push from teammates from behind. NFL Executive V.P. of Football Operations Troy Vincent supports the play and believes it should not be banned, despite ongoing discussions within the league. Vincent praises the Eagles for strategically using the play effectively and acknowledges the league’s general support for allowing teams to continue using it. The tush push will be discussed further at an upcoming league meeting to ensure all teams have a chance to weigh in, but a ban on the play currently seems unlikely.
