Is Justin Madubuike expected to sign with the Ravens under the franchise tag in 2024?
On February 20, NFL clubs opened the two-week window to designate Franchise or Transition tags on players. The Baltimore Ravens are looking to keep defensive lineman Justin Madubuike, whose tag price would be $20.2 million. His production in 2023 saw an increase in sacks and defensive stops, earning him Pro Bowl honors. While a long-term deal would be best, using the tag would guarantee Madubuike stays with the Ravens in 2024. General Manager Eric DeCosta did not confirm using the tag, but it seems likely. The team hopes to negotiate a long-term deal while Madubuike is tagged, rather than facing free agency.
