Dan Whelan Delighted by Successful Beginning to NFL Career Following Debut for Green Bay Packers
Dan Whelan, a punter for the Green Bay Packers, recently made his regular-season debut in the NFL, becoming the first Irish-born player in the league since 1985. Whelan replaced veteran Pat O’Donnell as the starting punter for the Packers, and their relationship remains amicable. Whelan slept soundly before his first game and had a successful debut, including a 68-yard punt. He also serves as the holder for kicker Anders Carlson.
