Seahawks’ Lock Reports Improved Elbow as Start Against Cardinals Approaches
Seattle Seahawks backup quarterback Drew Lock is set to start against the Arizona Cardinals due to Sam Darnold’s right quadriceps injury. Lock, who has been recovering from an elbow injury that sidelined him for two games, reported significant improvement and is eager to return to play. Coach Mike Macdonald will manage Lock’s practice throws, but Lock intends to take all practice reps. He previously led Seattle in the first two games of the season, completing 73% of his passes and achieving four touchdowns without turnovers. Darnold is week-to-week with a cracked rib and quad injury.
