Texans’ starter announced as Stroud following victorious preseason game
The Houston Texans have announced that quarterback C.J. Stroud will be the team’s Week 1 starter against the Baltimore Ravens. Stroud, who was selected in the top 5 of this year’s draft, has impressed coaches throughout training camp and preseason games. He will join fellow rookie quarterbacks Bryce Young and Anthony Richardson as the three top-5 picks starting in Week 1. The Texans have struggled in recent seasons and hope that Stroud can become their franchise quarterback.
