Robert Griffin III Receives Invitation to Audition for Team USA Flag Football
Robert Griffin III is attending training camps for flag football in hopes of joining the 2026 Team USA for the world championships in Germany. The Heisman Trophy winner and former NFL quarterback received an invitation after impressing at trials. Griffin, who had a notable NFL career, including being the No. 2 draft pick and Offensive Rookie of the Year, last played in 2020. The camps, set for April and May, will narrow down the roster to 12 athletes for the championships. Griffin’s participation could also position him for a spot in flag football’s Olympic debut at the 2028 Games in Los Angeles.
