Patriots’ Barmore charged with assault and battery
Mike Reiss, an NFL reporter at ESPN covering the New England Patriots, reports that defensive tackle Christian Barmore is facing assault and battery charges stemming from an incident in August. The Patriots are cooperating with the legal process and believe that no criminal conduct took place. Barmore’s attorney expects the matter to be resolved soon. The Patriots are also dealing with charges against wide receiver Stefon Diggs. Both players are represented by the same attorney and their cases are under review by the NFL. As of now, both players are eligible to play pending further developments in their cases.
