Ravens first-year linebacker Teddye Buchanan sidelined for remainder of season due to torn ACL
Baltimore Ravens rookie linebacker Teddye Buchanan suffered a season-ending torn ACL in Sunday’s win over the Cincinnati Bengals. Buchanan, 23, was carted off the field in the first quarter and an MRI confirmed the diagnosis. He had started 13 games and was the team’s second-leading tackler. John Harbaugh confirmed Buchanan’s injury and stated that Trenton Simpson would return to a starting role in his absence. Simpson, who had a solid performance on Sunday, has struggled in the past but will now have the opportunity to step up. Buchanan showed promise as a rookie, improving as a run defender and in coverage. Simpson will now fill his place for the remainder of the season.
