Longtime Detroit Lions Center Frank Ragnow Fails Physical, Will Stay Retired

Frank Ragnow, longtime Detroit Lions center, fails physical and decides to stay retired.

Detroit Lions fans were excited when it was announced that center Frank Ragnow was coming out of retirement to re-join the team, but their excitement was short-lived. Ragnow failed a physical due to a Grade 3 hamstring strain and will not be able to play for the rest of the season. Despite being one of the league’s best interior offensive linemen, Ragnow had retired after seven seasons in the league back in June. His toughness and dedication to playing through injuries, such as a fractured throat in 2020, made him a fan favorite. The Lions will have to continue their season without him.
