Report: UL-Monroe to hire SJ Tuohy from ‘Blind Side’ as athletic director
SJ Tuohy, known for his role in the best-selling book and movie “The Blind Side,” is expected to be named the next athletic director at UL-Monroe. Tuohy, 32, currently serves as the deputy athletic director at Oral Roberts and has experience working in athletic and football operations at several universities. Tuohy, a graduate of Loyola University Maryland, was portrayed in the movie “The Blind Side” as a supportive figure in Michael Oher’s life. Oher went on to have a successful football career, playing in the NFL for eight seasons and winning a Super Bowl with the Baltimore Ravens. Sandra Bullock won an Oscar for her role in the film as Tuohy’s mother.
