Olson promoted to interim offensive coordinator for Raiders
Ryan McFadden, a reporter for ESPN’s NFL Nation covering the Las Vegas Raiders, announced that Greg Olson will be the interim offensive coordinator after the firing of Chip Kelly. Olson, who previously served as the team’s offensive coordinator, will now be calling plays for the struggling Raiders. Head coach Pete Carroll cited Olson’s coaching experience and their previous working relationship as reasons for the appointment. Carroll made the decision to let go of Kelly and senior offensive assistant Bob Bicknell following a disappointing 2-9 season.
